Rosehill a
British steamship of 2788 gross Tons, was lost on route from Cardiff to
Devonport on 23 September 1917. She now lies in 30 metres 5 miles East of
Looe. Her two boilers are a prominent feature, standing 5 metres proud of
the sea bed and laiden with marine life. On the stern section, the single 12lb gun is
clearly visible, still attached to the swivel turret with the barrel
pointing up to the surface. Her propeller sticks out from the seabed with
the prop blades standing 3 metres proud of the seabed.
